Costly subscriptions for digital monitoring and marketing software aren&#8217;t in the league of many of the organisations we work with &#8211; but that doesn&#8217;t mean they need to go without.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ve done the hard yards for them by trying and testing five free online tools to help them be more digitally savvy:<\/p>\n<h2>TinEye<\/h2>\n<p>Similar to Google reverse image search, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tineye.com\" rel=\"nofollow\">TinEye<\/a> takes the process a few steps further by revealing not only where an image has been posted elsewhere online, but also how it has been modified.<\/p>\n<p>So the next time a user reports a large fire with a photo on social media, you can use TinEye to discover that the image has been cropped and zoomed in on to make a very small campfire look like a blazing inferno.<\/p>\n<p>The search engine is free of charge for non-commercial use.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tineye.com\" rel=\"nofollow\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-19461\" src=\"https:\/\/helpfuldigital.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/Screenshot-2019-01-28-at-17.04.24-300x233.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"303\" height=\"235\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Amnesty International \u2013 YouTube DataViewer<\/h2>\n<p>Kind of like the TinEye search for videos, this nifty tool allows you to trace the source of any YouTube video.<\/p>\n<p>Simply copy and paste the Youtube URL into the <a href=\"https:\/\/citizenevidence.amnestyusa.org\/\" rel=\"nofollow\">YouTube DataViewer<\/a> and click \u2018go\u2019. Then, hey presto!<\/p>\n<p>You quickly discover that the video of a protest supposedly happening outside your building was actually footage taken outside a football match in Sydney back in 2008.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/citizenevidence.amnestyusa.org\/\" rel=\"nofollow\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-19490 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/helpfuldigital.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/Screenshot-2019-01-28-at-16.02.04-300x178.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"178\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Botometer<\/h2>\n<p>Formally known as \u2018BotOrNot\u2019, this handy tool will tell you how likely someone\u2019s Twitter profile is a bot (or not). The higher the score, the more likely the profile is a bot.<\/p>\n<p>Developed by creators at Indiana University, <a href=\"https:\/\/botometer.iuni.iu.edu\/#!\/\" rel=\"nofollow\">Botometer<\/a> can also predict how many followers of a profile are likely to be bots.<\/p>\n<p>Every wondered how your colleague has so many followers?
